Choosing Charter College was the best thing I could have done in 2021. 2020 was a rough year; I think we could all agree on that. After thinking about what I needed to keep me going, I looked seriously into the medical field. I had always been interested, but thought it was unattainable. While looking for programs, I found Charter College. The enrollment process was a breeze because of the staff. They worked with me, making sure I had the information I needed to start school and make cash payments. I was working full-time during the day and going to school at night.
Looking back, I ask myself, “How in the world did I do it?” I won’t lie; I did want to quit a couple of times, but I started to think about why I enrolled and how far God had brought me. I realized that I couldn’t quit. (That, and I wasn’t about to let school and my bad attitude best me!) The classes were excellent. My instructors were great and made sure that we understood what we were doing, worked with us to achieve our goals, and gave us so much practical advice. My instructors were constantly telling us to treat our patients with respect and kindness and that advice has served me well in the clinic.
And that’s where my story begins and ends. Whether you’re just starting, almost done, or in the thick of it, you’ve got this. Relax and ask questions. Your instructors are there for you and want you to ask questions.
