I was offered a job as a medical assistant before I finished my externship. I worked as a temporary contractor at a correctional facility in Umatilla, Oregon. Halfway through that 13-week contract, I was contacted by a recruiter offering a contract-to-hire position at Kadlec. I started that job and after a couple weeks of training at a Kadlec clinic, I was offered a permanent position there.
