Charter College is proud to introduce two new online programs:

If you’ve been thinking of going back to school, you now have even more options. Along with other programs in Business, Health Care, Information Technology, Veterinary Assistant, and some Trades, Charter College now offers the CAD Certificate and an A.A.S. Degree Program in Business Management. And both are online programs, so your education is accessible and convenient. Which one might be right for you?

Here’s what you’ll want to know about the programs:

Business Management A.A.S. Degree

Business Managers are critical players across industries. They oversee the day-to-day operations of businesses and can work in the public, private, or non-profit sectors, performing tasks. This comprehensive program is designed to provide you with the knowledge, technical skills, and professional work habits you’ll need to obtain an entry-level position in a business environment. The program will cover important topics and concepts, such as:

CAD Certificate

Once known as drafters, CAD operators now use computers to design drawings and blueprints that are important in aeronautics, architecture, automotives, engineering, interior design, manufacturing, medical devices, ship building, and much more. The Charter College CAD program will provide you with the fundamentals of two-dimensional and three-dimension computer aided design you’ll need for entry level work as a modern drafter or CAD operator. You’ll learn basic design techniques and principles involved in the production of technical plans, constructions drawings, and 3D models. The program will cover important topics and concepts, such as:

  • Computer Aided Design Drafting
  • 3D Modeling Techniques
  • Architectural Drawing
  • Modeling, Rendering and Animation for Presentations
  • Building Code Basics
  • Preparation for Autodesk Certification

Also taught in an online format, the Certificate in Computer-Aided Design program can be completed in less than one year.

Both programs use our secure learning management system that will allow you to access and navigate your virtual classroom with ease. It includes features such as your course syllabus, announcements, lessons, assignments, a homework grid, tutorials, discussion boards, links to library resources and academic assistance, and contact information for your instructor, including their office hours. Your course portal can be accessed from anywhere you have an internet connection—including your phone!
