For discussion boards, everyone needs to write a post or at least comment on someone else’s post. You’re not the only one and you won’t be singled out like you might be in a classroom. Since your posts will be written and not spoken, you’ll also have a chance to edit what you say before you say it.
  • More Control: In an online class, you’ll have more responsibility. It will be up to you to keep track of your assignments and deadlines, to regularly attend your classes and check your email. But that also puts you in the driver’s seat and gives you more control over your schedule and your education.
